Water & pore-pressure monitoring

Know exactly what the water is doing, years after installation

BEAM-PZ (standard) · BEAM-PZV (vented)

Pore-water pressure is the quiet force behind slope failures, dam incidents and excavation problems. The Ackcio VW Piezometer measures it directly in a borehole, dam, standpipe or fill, then keeps the record moving wirelessly.

01Measure

Pore-water pressure in the ground, structure or vessel.

02Stabilise

Built-in temperature sensing supports long-term readings.

03Transmit

BEAM-VW-S1 or S8 carries the frequency wirelessly.

01 / Overview

Built for the harshest ground, sealed for the long haul

BEAM-PZ is designed for hydraulic structures and bedrock, or for installation in piezometer tubes, boreholes, dams, pipelines and pressure vessels to measure pore-water pressure or liquid level.

A sintered stainless-steel filter and built-in thermistor support long-term monitoring where the installation needs to stay stable and readable for the life of the project.

How vibrating wire works

A tensioned steel wire sits inside the sensor body. An electromagnetic coil excites it and the resonant frequency shifts as pressure changes the diaphragm tension. The node reads that frequency, rather than a voltage, and turns it into an engineering value.

02 / Where it’s used

Built for the places where change matters.

Use the sensor where you need a stable, long-term view of the parameter at risk.

03 / Installation

Install once. Keep reading.

Connect the sensor to an Ackcio VW node via BEAM-CA screened cable. In a borehole, the piezometer sits in a sand pocket sealed with bentonite; in fill or concrete it is placed and protected during construction.

Node fit

A single piezometer pairs naturally with BEAM-VW-S1. Clusters of piezometers at one location can be grouped on BEAM-VW-S8.
