Cast the gauge into the concrete and measure strain from the inside

BEAM-E150 · BEAM-EX150 · BEAM-E250

Some strain you can only measure from within. Tie the gauge into the reinforcement before the pour and follow how the concrete behaves through construction and service life.

01 / Overview

Three builds for three jobs

E150 is the standard 150 mm embedment gauge for concrete and reinforced-concrete elements. EX150 adds an integrated waterproof build for piles and wet, aggressive environments.

E250 is the heavy-duty 250 mm gauge for roller-compacted concrete and optional multi-directional or stress-free configurations.

How vibrating wire works

The flanged ends lock into the concrete. As the concrete strains, the gauge length changes, the wire tension changes and the resonant frequency follows. The node measures that frequency and records temperature alongside it.

02 / Where it’s used

Built for the places where change matters.

Use the sensor where you need a stable, long-term view of the parameter at risk.

03 / Installation

Set it before the pour.

Tie the gauge to the rebar cage at the correct location and orientation, protect the cable during the pour, and log a baseline before the concrete gains strength. It can also be grouted into an existing structure where approved.

Node fit

Embedment gauges are often installed in clusters or rosettes, making BEAM-VW-S8 a practical fit. Scattered instruments can use BEAM-VW-S1.
